This is what I think: ART IS. Consider this my artistic statement.

People like to discuss what art is, instead of actually creating and producing art. The only artistic statement, I think, is a piece of art itself, and NOT the debates on this subject. Do not ask a visual artist to verbally express his/her artistic perception: that is why an artist indulges into this alternative way of reflecting the world, after all.

Again, the only way to learn the truth about one artistic perception is to look attentively at artist’s works.

Another reason why you don’t ask a visual artist to write essays on themes like “what is art?” is simply a fact that most artists will sincerely lie to you in response. Artists most of the times are liars by definition, even the ones who chose realism as their field of expertise. An artist can and will deceive in anything but the art he/she produces. The Art does not deceive. An artist does.

My ideas derive from absorbing the beauty of this world, which allegorically may be also delivered as “reflecting of the light”- same light that shines upon all other beings. None of the ideas belong to me: I simply tune myself to the right frequency to “read-off” a certain fragment from the upcoming wave of information. Waves are infinite and so are the variations of different segments of the surrounding body of waves that humans evolved to experience with wonderful detectors of vision, hearing, kinesthetic, taste, smell and imagination. I am greatly influenced by these channels of information. I am influenced by those inspired by light, and enlightened in their passion to create.

My goal as an artist is to reach a certain harmony within the uncertainty of visual perception; to maintain solid philosophy behind my works, while expanding style - the horizons of artistic views and craftsmanship skills. After having established my style and name as an artist, I would like to perform quality work for a quality employer to create works that satisfy our mutual vision concerning the subject in hand. I would enjoy a platform and opportunity to utilize my artistic talents towards a productive and worthwhile project.

Ultimately, I dream of having my own studio of independent artists, working together on projects, and- perhaps- under one name. Eliminating the factor of personal credits gives its own privileges, such as an advantage musicians have, for instance, but visual artists still for some reason can not grasp the simple, naïve, almost communist concept of an artistic band, in which every aspect of artistic interpretation might find its use, and in ideal type situation, catalyzing each other’s work, with the healthy share of competition, this project could be extremely fertile and worthwhile. Art-director would be a prototype of this role in a corporative atmosphere.
